HELP:macbook to pioneer plasma 42''

Hello,

I 've just bought a new macbook and I have a 42'' Pioneer PDP. I have read that in order to stream on the plasma you need a mini port to DVI - DVI- HDMI. I have connected everything but nothing appears on the TV. On what application I need to play the movie and what I do after everything is connected? Can somebody help me?

I would appreciate some advice and help!
