So I got a new iPhone and connected it to my MacBook, received a message saying that I need to update my iPhone software before it will link with iTunes so I went ahead and started the sinftware update on the phone....for a long time nothing happened so I disconnected the phone from the MacBook which kickstarted the update, then when I went back to my MacBook there was a white screen with a folder and a flashing question mark, so after reading a few forums I then attempted a safe mode. This was only taking me so far and when I was given the options to do an iOS x reboot or a time machine reboot it would not give me any more options after selecting either of these, obviously I'm trying to avoid wiping my hard drive Am I screwed???? Can anyone help???
