Today my MacBook mid 2009 was running fine (occasionally my battery icon would flicker and say not charging but then it would start again), then it wouldn't open any webbrowsers so I restated it and now it won't turn back on, the fans and the hard drive runs but there is no DVD player grinding sound for a second then everything turns off then back on and it doesn't turn off after that .., I've done the smc and pram reset and tried taking out the ram 1 stick at a time with no luck , and Warranty is up. I've also tried to boot without battery and it does the same thing, the one thing that makes a difference is when I unplug the battery and unplug the charger , hold down the power button for 10 seconds , plug the charger in and hold the power button for another 10 Seconds and put the battery back in and press the power button the fans run very loud and thats all it does different!
