Well over the last week or so, I've been having real issues with the calling on my 3GS

Someone will call me, and I won't get the call. At all. Now granted, I live in an area with almost no service at times (bottoms of hills are bad for cell reception), but shouldn't I at least get a "missed call" notification once I do have service again? I don't get anything. The only reason I know about the problem is that people will ask me why I never answer my phone or return their calls

the problem was originally with text messages coming in 2 hours after they were sent. I had that problem with my 3G and my 3GS, so I figured it was the SIM. I had the SIM swapped out, and now I am having these calling issues

so anyone have any hints? Where do I start? Is there something I should try? Should I get another SIM? or is this a hardware issue?

(somewhat unrelated, but I don't have visual voicemail anymore. Hitting voicemail automatically calls my voicemail. Anyone know how to get the VVM back?)
