Help!Mavericks ruin me - e-mail VIP contacts disappear

I upgrade from Mountain Lion to Mavericks and my clients e-mail VIP contacts disappear!Hopefully my e-mail contacts are intact and i try to reconstruct them.Please help if you have any solution!Thanks!
