Without boring you with the details - I plan on purchasing a new iPad Air 256 (13 inch M3) this week at the Apple Store and want to copy over the contents of my original model iPad Pro 128 to it.

Trying to anticipate any issues, believe it or not, it seems that I may have lost my Apple ID which I'm pretty sure is needed to do the copy, right?

Whatever the Apple ID is, both my iPad Pro and iPhone 6S use the same one - but I haven't been prompted to enter it on either device in ages because I haven't bought any new apps in a VERY long time. All I have to do to access both devices is enter a 4 digit code (which I DO know).

Is not knowing my Apple ID going to be a problem in copying over to the new iPad Air? Or will it not be necessary?
Will the Apple Store help me recover it, if necessary? i'm sure that I'll at least need it going forward though, so what are my options in recovering it?

Thanks!

Go to settings, touch your name at the top of the screen. Check sign in and security below your name.

Your apple ID should be listed there

See below for more information. Check the part if you are already signed in to icloud (which I am assuming you are on your ipad and iphone)
