Hey everyone! I have a MBP 2009. I spilled hot choco on it sometime in February. As a result, I always have to plug it in or else it would turn off immediately. Second, I can not use the clicker in the trackpad. I can TAP TO CLICK but that's it. Basically I can still use it but it became very slow.

So I decided to buy a MBA 11" and just sell the MBP 13". I have a buyer so I tried to wipe my MBP clean. I inserted the CD it came with to reinstall everything. Here's the problem. I can not TAP my trackpad to CLICK anymore. All I can use is the keyboard. I can use the TAB button to go through the items but I can not use ENTER. :((( I really don't know what to do. Does anyone of you know how to fix this problem? Pls help.

I don't suppose you could plug in an external mouse & keyboard, and do all the input that way? At least until the drive is wiped clean and the system re-installed.

Wow guys thanks for the very fast response. I really didn't know what to do. Can I use any kind of mouse to do that? Or does it have to be an Apple mouse?

Hey everyone! The space bar and the mouse worked. Big thanks for all the help! Have a great day ahead!

You're not going to get even 100 dollars for it anywhere, just recycle it and get a brand new computer.

I just hope you're not selling it as a 'working' computer.

Don't worry I detailed the faults on my ad. :)

I was able to sell it for $320. :)

I have you told this 'buyer' that the MBP is faulty? Please tell me you've told him.

Don't worry. I told him everything. I even let him check it out himself.
