I switched to mac last june withe the 13 2.25 ghz mbp.

I have been absolutely in love with this machine. I think its time for a format and clean install and I figured why not make a dual drive machine.

I want to replace my 7200 RPM 500gig HD with a 64gig SSD and replace my superdrive with my mechanical HD.

My goal is then to get an external case for my superdrive so I can use it via USB or firewire.

Its been a while since I've kept up with computer hardware and I was hoping you guys could offer some advice.

1)Which SSD (I want the speed but I am also very budget conscious) I do pretty basics tasks on my machine.

2) something to mount my HD in my superdrive hole. I've heard of optibay but it seems steep for something that will basically just hold my HD. I know I can just tape everything down but is there something in the middle?

3)Cheap external enclosure for superdrive.

Thanks in advance!
