I usually start my Macbook Air and then my iMac for the day's computing, and in this way, the iMac connects to the MacBook Air via a login item on my iMac. But if I reboot the MacBook Air or start it after I start the iMac, I have to reboot the iMac to connect again. So I've created an app on my iMac via automator to automatically connect my iMac to my MacBook Air. It works perfectly.

Trouble is, the automator app connects to the MacBook Air's root folder--Macintosh HD - Data. I want to connect to a user folder in Macintosh HD - Data. I know this can be done in several way, but after experimenting in automator, the task is a bit beyond my know-how. So how do I amend the app, or create a new one, so that it connects to a user folder in Macintosh HD - Data? Thanks.

I figured it out! I couldn't figure out how to get the entire location address into the automator. It worked by copying the complete address from the Get Info's "Original" entry.
