How can I buy a unlocked iPhone to use in Brazil ? Do I have to ask for a off contract and unlocked iPhone 5 of AT&T ?

I'm trying to do the same thing.. Yes you would ask for the off contract phone, but the issue is no stock available right now, unless you get really lucky because they never know when new shipments are coming.

Really? Cuz they dont allow you to buy it without a contract anymore here in nyc

Buy a Verizon phone with a contract and then cancel and pay the ETF. Verizon phones are unlocked so you can use it in Brazil. Apple stores in NYC do not sell phones without a contract.
