Hi all, currently looking for a 4k or 5k monitor for my 2018 rMBP for photography (Ps/Lr) and Sketch, I've narrowed it down to the following three, does anyone else have any other recommendations with the Dell brand? Have contemplated the LG Ultra Fine 5K but unsure if Apple is due to release their own and if I should shell out over 1K on this monitor.

Dell 32" U3219Q 4K USB-C
Dell 27" U2718Q 4K
LG 27" Ultra Fine 5K

Also came across an old Sketch article showing true retina display pixel monitors:

I suggest choice #2.

I don't care for LG products, and you may find 4k on 32" "too large" for your taste...

That's weird...
UltraFine 5K is 220ppi, 4096*2304
UltraFine 4K is 220ppi, 5120*2880

32" ultrafine 4k 3840*2160 is 140 PPI. half less. what the hell? and same brand?

it all depends whether you want to run native or scaled resolution, and how far from the screen you sit.

Other than you have your resolutions flipped, you're not wrong. . . I didn't even notice that it was lower res than the 22" UltraFine, yet is 8" larger. . . so weird that LG would do that.

I noticed on my 2nd 22" that there was a little bit of image retention, but it seems to have corrected itself somehow. Overall, I'm happy with the displays, ONLY because I work with code all day and the resolution and ppi looks like my MbP.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have decided to place an order for the LG 5K UF. The decision was based on sticking with native resolution. I sit quite close to my screen about 2 feet away. I'm hoping it'll be ok.

I do have 28 day return policy and should there be any mention that Apple potentially are releasing a Cinema Display (flaky rumours about only) I potentially could return the LG 5K to Apple.

It's gonna look the same as your macbook does as "best for display", you should be fine
