Here's the deal. I have an iPhone 3 GS right now. It works well. Except for one thing. My main workstation is running RHEL these days. iPhone only sync with iTunes which isn't available on RHEL.

I know this is an Apple-centric forum, but please be objective for a moment and help a brother out.

Here are my criteria:

I need the phone to sync calendars, contacts, pics, videos, etc. locally to my own PC or server via USB or TCPIP. I don't want to upload my stuff to some "cloud" or to Google. I want my private data to remain my own, and not reside on someone elses server.

I need the phone to be compatible with Linux, either via USB or TCPIP syncing via standard protocols.

My iPhone is not very Linux friendly. Android, so far as I know, requires a Google account and syncs all your data with Google. I don't want Google to have all my personal data. Are there any other alternatives? Is there a way to sync iPhone with Linux? Or to locally sync Android without going through Google?

Thank you all for your help with this.
