hey guys, so ive decided go take the plunge.....just confused between two..

patriot torqx 128gb / intel 160gb gen 2. more or less a 100$ diff between both.. but whats making me turn towards the patriot more is the 10 yr warranty..both offer similar performance aswell...but i just want ur final take on which to go for.. ill be buyin the 4gb ram upgrade and the ssd within this week.. so please help :D:D

ps / should i be considering the corsair drives?

I have the Vertex 120 GB in mine and it has no problems so far (Knock on wood). I would go with either the new Vertex or Intel 160GB SSD.

I got the Intel 160 Gb drive, and it is awesome! No slowdown over time at all that any test have picked up. It rather sped up slightly.

Stay away from these funny brands and go with Vertex or Intel. I would go Intel myself because that's where all my research lead me, but Vertex is not at all a bad brand.

I keep getting more of the Corsair P-Series over Intel. I am up to six of them now and they are all perfect. I would highly recommend them.

The Intels are nice drives, but there is a huge pricing premium for them right now.

ummm no...not really

performance difference is not very much, ill stick with $40 cheaper, since the G1 has a trim like feature in firmware 8820, i have had no slow downs at all.

Intell SSD rapes every single SSD out there. Except the new OCZ Z-drive. But thats another story. for only 1300$

yea.. now im just wondering weather i should get the 80 or 160! 160's like double the price for that size. i wish they werea taddd bitt cheaper lol.. i so want the 160!

go for intel 160GB. i use it on my 15 umbp and it is blazingly fast. I chose the 160gb because i need extra space when im on the go.
