Help me convince some people

There is a another forum that I routinely post on that is about snowmobiles one of my main hobbies . One memeber asked about what kind of computer to get for multitasking, movies, and media in general. I suggested apple computers and they replied that apple was a joke and the computers were not good at all. what can I do to convince these people?

Why bother...

Talk him into buying a Dell or Gateway computer, then in 12-18 months you should be able to talk him into buying a Mac.

Don't worry about it. The guy wants to build his own computer, so let him. He won't be building an Apple...
