Here is my Apple Product Lineup:

iPhone 5

MacBook Pro with retina 15
Mac Pro with 2 monitors
Apple TV

And a kindle.

The space is for my future ipad! Now the air or the mini? I do my graphics on my Mac Pro. Retina Mbp is for going to work. iPhone is my mostly used gadget. Kindle is for reading. I want the ipad for reading and falling asleep to with games or movies. I'm just unsure about which one I "need."

So,

Ipad mini 1 or wait or wait for retina?
Or Air?

Has to be 32gb of course.

If you you already have a kindle for reading and the ipad is for reading and watching movies I say go wit the air. I think watching movies would be better on the air than the mini. If you do decide to go for the mini wait for the retnia.

I have almost the exact same set up as you.

My Kindle is obviously for reading, and does it much better when I'm in the mood for some serious reading than an iPad ever could.

My iPhone provides mobile access to the internet / something to do while waiting in lines, etc.

These both take away important benefits of the mini and imo the iPad Air fits much better with all my devices (better with watching movies, playing games, lighter now so it's easier to use in bed) then the Mini.
