Now...they are $100 difference in price and I want to get it though Amazon for several reason (0% interest for 12 months, No TAX, and points on my Amazon Credit Card). Which would be the smarter pick?

My vote is for the new MacBook because you can't match the graphics performance of the 9400M compared to the X3100. I was just at the Apple Store playing with the new MacBook and I just love it. It makes my black MacBook feel old and the new one is also a half pound lighter.

Well, I should add I only really use my laptop for surfing the net, chatting with friends and very little photo/movie editing (currently use Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Elements). So a slight graphics bump may not matter much for someone like me. I really love the black casing vs. the new MBs.

I do have another few questions...

Is that version the matte or glossy screen?

And for the mail program, can I set it up with gMail?
