You can downgrade firmware to 3.1.3 but can't downgrade the baseband. 05.13.04 can be unlocked with ultrasn0w.

Iclarified.com is where you should go to get all the tutorials relate to Apple products.

What should I do to use 3.1.3 firmware? What's DFU mode? I've been seeing it lately. What should I do if my iPhone takes too much time open everything even settings app.
for apps do you want to save itunes apps or cydia apps?
iTunes

Actually, your Phone will be running faster with 3.1.3. Following is what you need to do to get it to 3.1.3

1. Download 3G 3.1.3 firmware to your machine
2. Download Tiny umbrella to your machine.
3. Hook you your Iphone to your machine, open Itune.
4. press shift + restore, then pick 3.1.3 firmware.
5. at the end of the process, Itunes will give you a 1015 error.
6. Open tiny umbrella, hit "exit recovery"
7. You phone will boot up normally and will come up with emergency screen.

You now then can jailbreak it.
