I'm trying to create a Comcast pop mail account on my iPhone 12 mini. This worked fine on my iPhone 7, which I recently upgraded. I've tried many settings for the sender address, but each time the same message appears. I read that changing the email account description to the email address solves the problem, but that didn't work. I've double-checked the port settings, too. Specifying both pop and pop3 doesn't solve the problem. I've shut down and rebooted the phone with each new try. I can receive mail in my Comcast account--I just can't reply on the iPhone. Creating an imap account works fine to send and reply, but I want a pop account. My Comcast pop accounts also work fine for sending and replying on my iMac and MacBook Air. Mail is not connected to iCloud. Any idea how to fix this problem in the iPhone Mail app?
