OK, here's a fix that works for me...
1) Select all songs from the album (ie. all songs that should be under one cover, but are appearing under multiple ones.)
2) Get info (right/ctrl-click on the selected songs, get info or cmd-i)
3) Change the 'artist' and 'album artist' fields slightly. e.g change "The Cramps" to "The Cramps2".
4) Click OK
5) You should now have all your tracks under 1 cover
6) Get info again
7) Change the 'artist' and 'album artist' back to the correct name (get rid of the '2' in the example above)
Hope this helps.
RichyHo, while your post may be valid for single-artist albums, there is still the issue of multi-artist compilations.![]()
Just set the "Artist" the actual song artist and the "Album Artist" to "Various Artists" or some other thing you prefer. So long as the Artist and/or Album Artist matches, and the Album matches, iTunes will recognize them as being from the same album and merge them together in cover flow and album listings.
You also must use the same exact Album art. (ie same exact image file)

I've often found that simply doing the multiple song select and get info, then just changing the Album Artist field for all songs, fixes this problem as well.
Yep, that FINALLY put all of my OC Remix songs under the same album artwork. Weird thing is that I never had anything in the album artist field, not even a space. Oh well, this worked fine, thanks!Fixed it!!!! Something was different in the Album Artist field. Selecting all of them and simply checking Album Artist, thus populating it with an empty value, puts them under the same artwork.
OK. I just imported my CD "Matchbox Twenty - Exile On Mainstream". When I try to get the album artwork it doesnt find it. However when you click the song link to take you to iTunes it goes to the correct song. Why isn't it downloading the artwork?
