I am not computer savvy, I called the apple tech, no help there.

Apparently my wife and son set up his ipod touch and we can not for the life of us find the apple ID info that was used to set it up. I do not know the ID or the name that was used so the tech told us that there is no way to use the device.

We live out in the sticks and have changed internet providers a couple of times so apparently the apple id is the email address that was used to set it up and without that info we are out of luck.

Cant believe that we can not completely format the device and start for scratch.

Can anyone me. Not a life or death, the boy has a iPhone, not sure why he wants this touch going. We have a 6 year old daughter that would probably enjoy playing with it thou.

Anyway, thanks for any help.

If you used an email address that is no longer in use/available, you can still log in to iCloud using it, assuming you know/can guess the password. Not sure if that was what you meant or you simply don't know the email address.

Was it set up with Family Sharing? Could you check that and see if the email info is there on another iPhone?
