help me jailbreak my ipod touch 1g

I have an iphone 3gs and i saw this article on engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/30/ipad-ui-gets-ported-to-the-iphone-and-ipod-touch/

I really want to do the hack but i dont want to do it to my iphone so i grabbed my 1st generation touch and plugged it into my mac with osx. Im not 100% how to jailbreak it. could someone help me out?
