It says i already have a copy of firefox open, so it wont let me open it. Actually, i have no copies open. . I'm pretty sure i screwed up the "mozilla" profile or something. So i need to locate and delete it to stop it from messing with me.
This problem is caused by a "lock" file Firefox creates when it opens, that didn't get deleted properly last time. Though I don't know where this particular file lives on Mac OS X, I do know where your Firefox profile lives. It's in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles - there will be at least one folder in there with a name like f4eeb21da.slt - the string before the .slt is random.
