Hi Guys,

I was in my local Comet this weekend looking at iMacs as i may be getting one. I was tempted there and then to buy the 21.5" iMac the new one priced at £1249 with the i5 2.5Ghz Processor 1TB HD amd 4GB of ram.

On clearence was the 27" IMac but last years with the I3 3.2Ghz Processor 4GB of ram and 1TB hard drive.

The Imac will be used for videos more than anything so the 27" iMac would be great although i do use some high demanding programs and would like to know if the i3 could handle these and also how will OSX Lion affect this when installed.

Which would you get if you had the choice?

Thanks for any input guys. :)

If you're mostly using it for videos I'd go with the larger screen. Both processors are good and should be able to handle any program right now.

Why don't you go with a 27" iMac of current model. It is good for editing video and it will serve you much longer with the up-to-date technology.

Sorry i should of said mainly due to the cost of it.

The 21.5" is 1080p anyway which is perfect since I doubt you will be editing 2k videos and it processes videos much faster than last years model.
