colleague asked me about a tablet for her daughter. definitely ipad i sad. too expensive. so without a thought i said kindle fire or nexus, guessing as decent brands they must be good. she bought a kindle fire. its a paperweight.....
she has a portuguese credit card and the kindle fire is in portugal. if she sets it to the uk app store and klicks on an an app she gets the message about not being available in her region, switch it to the american store and get the same. cant even get free stuff like temple run.
looked at getjar.com and apps.opera.com but theres not much there, and some of the apps despite having well known names, like temple run, when downloaded and installed are ***** advertising apps.
other colleague's cheap chinese android tablet is better than this !
