Help me seal the deal

I cannot decide between the pro and the air.
I travel a lot, school-library-friends places-etc, etc...I'm a college student.
I am currently using a windows gateway computer and decided to enter the mac realm.

Ok so here is what I normally do with a laptop:

- Documents for school assignments (am not in art/design)
- Casual surfing + youtube + streaming movies
- Downloading music (through frostwire/limewire), movies, torrent files (3gb+)
- Converting downloaded movies for my iPhone using Handbrake or such

Could the Air handle my normal usage? Or do I need the pro?
My main concern is downloading (movies) and converting downloaded files would the Air be too slow for this?

Excuse my ignorance on computer knowledge, I am not a guru when it comes to this kind of stuff.

BTW I do not edit photos, videos, play games, etc, etc...

Any 2011 MBA will handle all this easily. Getting a MBP for your needs is overkill and unnecessary.
