Alright, I've kept my iphone in my back pocket since the 3gs. It's had a nice home there with no problems. Now since I've picked up the 5 earlier this year it has been burning holes in my back pocket. I guess my jeans weren't meant to withstand right angle aluminum and glass. Is there any way to resolve this? I was thinking of getting some iron on patches and iron them from the inside of the pocket to reinforce it. Or getting a *shutter* case. I've rocked a naked iphone for a while now and I can't see myself going that route.

Anyone else come across this annoyance?

Quit putting it in your back pocket. The angles are definitely different with the 5. Lot sharper than 3GS. I have been that route. I never keep my 5 in my pocket, especially if I am going to sit. I usually remove it and put in my hand or on something. It is either that or get a soft case with less angled edges.

I thought only girls put their phones in their back pocket.

Why not use your front pocket? Safer for your phone, it won't bend.

Cargo jeans. :D

Seriously, that's mostly what I wear and my iPhone 5 goes right in a side pocket. I take it out before I bend down or sit down though.

Get a 4s with a Pixelskin HD and sit on it 'til your heart's delight.

The 5/5s will bend when you sit on it.

So I guess you're the kind of customer that LG are trying to go after with this thing lol:

Is your Azz flat? Lol. Just kidding

naw man. mucho junk in this trunk.

on a totally serious note, I'm kind of intrigued. I've only ever kept it in my back left, and have never experienced a "denim blowout." I even wear target brand jeans, so it makes me wonder what could differ between the OP and myself. maybe his job is more sit, then stand?

Also; I was totally unaware of a male/female way of carrying your mobile device. That kind of mentality is gross to me. Just saying.

Ya, can be many factors: Flat azz, low pockets, baggy jeans, tight jeans, the way a person wears their jeans like the jeans hanging from their waistline, etc. :apple:
