Help me solve two unsolved annoyances

1. The harddrive on the desktop's extended info is useless. 148.73 GB,...97GB free. Been around since 100GB+ harddrives.

2. Sometime in the last few years of iTunes, I've deleted a song from iTunes without deleting it from my managed library. Is there a tool that compares your iTunes XML to what you have on the HD?

Mockingly, #1 is solved, though I suspect only because it's using 3 digits for the remaining, instead of four (such as 38.80). I'll be sure not to create or delete any data.
