Is there likely a new MBA to be announced in June?

Also, isn’t the iMac basically the same power and speed as the M1 MBA with 8core/CPU/GPU?

A new MBA might be announced sometime this year. It is unclear when (if at all this year).

The new iMac and the M1 MBA and M1 MBP all use the same CPU, although the core could differ from 7 to 8 depending on the model ordered.

I don't know. I suppose it could be possible if Apple is willing to raise the base price for the MBA. I don't see Apple adding that upgrade and keeping the price the same.
