So, I am thinking of flying my drone with an iPhone 17 Pro Max instead of a tablet since that is one less device to carry and charge. But I don't really understand how to translate the spec below to what i will see in the real world whilst flying. Anyone else here flying a Dji Mavic or similar with iPhone 17 as the screen? I currently have an iPhone 16 Pro and have flown it once, which was OK, but not on the brightest day so hard to tell how it would fare.

From Apple product page: "1000 nits max brightness (typical); 1600 nits peak brightness (HDR); 3000 nits peak brightness (outdoor)"

Not sure what you're asking really, but keep in mind the maximum outdoor brightness is generally only sustainable for a short duration before the phone begins to overheat and dims the display. Also weighs on the battery.

I am essentially asking if the iPhone 17 Pro has siginificantly better bright daylight screen readability than iPhone16 Pro. The specs are the specs and the 17's are better, but how does that translate in the real world? And is anyone here using a 17 to fly their UAV?
