Help! Missing Black Thingy?

Lol sorry I don't know how to be anymore specific in a thread title. Next to my unibody Macbook Pro June 09's disc insert thing on the right hand side of the MBP, there looks like a little port or something? It's to the left of the disc tray which is on the right hand side of the MBP. I could have sworn that port wasn't a port, but now I think the cover fell off or something? Or was there never a cover on it? Sorry I don't know how to be anymore specific but I hope someone understands me.

It's a kensington lock slot...and it didn't have a cover:
