I just transferred a hard drive from a 2007 15" MBP to a 2009 13" MBP, and now the display on the 13" MBP is weird- everything is washed out, there are faint horizontal lines, some flickering, etc. The screen was working fine before, and I'm pretty sure nothing was damaged when I installed the HD (it's such a simple job).

None of the other color profiles look any better than the original (Color LCD). I tried creating a new color profile, but it helps but doesn't solve the problem, just makes it look a little better. I'm pretty sure that there's some mismatch now between the LCD, and how the computer is driving it. I'm pretty sure it's not a calibration issue, the weird glitches like the lines mean something else is going on.

I tried resetting PRAM and SMC, and even put in a different HD and installed the original OS from the install disk that came with the MBP. But the screen is still very weird looking.

Is there something else I can do? Some sort of firmware command perhaps?

Thanks!!

EDIT- I'm wondering now if maybe I knocked a cable loose or something. The lid comes right off, but who knows. I will check, in the meantime any other suggestions would be great.
