HELP ! My iBook G4 Wont charge for longer than half a second!

This is indeed a strange one... I recently purchased a new apple charger for my iBook and its been working perfectly with no problems what so ever. Then the other day it jus decided to stop charging it properly and now it will switch from charging to not charging constantly. So frustrating, could somebody please help me, im all out of ideas?????

No, it is not formatting your drive. It resets the Power Management Unit. It often helps when dealing with charging/battery issues.

Sounds like your DC-in board is bad. It's not an expensive part but it's not exactly to do any repair on an iBook.
