I am having really hard time with my iPhone 3G. I have read TONS of forum pages and saw all the videos I found but with no luck. The problem started when I was upgrading Facebook app afterwards the phone froze, The phone since this time has been refusing to turn on. It starts for a while showing the apple logo and then turns off again.

I tried then to enter the recovery mode by holding the home button while connecting the usb cable, and it entered the recovery mode successfully this time, and while iTunes was downloading the latest iOS, it just turned off unexpectedly. I have failed to let it go to recovery mode since then.

The next solution was to enter the DFU mode. I tried all the combinations I found on the forums but with no luck at all. The phone completes booting (not entering DFU mode with black screen) and then turns off as usual.

What I noticed is that, WITHOUT connecting the phone to the computer, and while holding the POWER and HOME button, the phone is like reacting and giving a black screen quickly (after ~7 secs). It does not do it while it's connected to the computer.

From the videos I saw, the screen should go black in under ten seconds while holding both buttons, which never happened to me.

Any help please??!! , thanks in advance
