Help my iphone 3gs is stuck in activation screen!!

so i bought a new iphone from seattle and got all the activation and everything done from there and even paid someone to unlock it so i can use it in canada and now im here and some how a system restore has happened on my iphone and basically im stuck at the activation screen and dont have the original sim with me... i did a little research and figured a phonebook sim might help me out but it didnt... and now im sitting here with my iphone 3gs running ios5 and am so clueless as to how to get it out of this activation screen

Since you bought this phone from Seattle, WA USA, it is locked to AT&T. So, if you know someone who has the AT&T sim that you can borrow it for 1 or 2 minute. Pop into your phone, hook it up to Itunes and it will by pass the activation screen.

The other way is to use Redsn0w to hactivate it so you can by pass the activation screen.
