iPhone 3G running on the latest software update (2.2).

I got my iPhone on Thursday and the few times I tried out the Maps application, it worked fine and located where I was within a couple streets.

However, today I just tried it again and apparently, my GPS location is
Bliskowice, Poland. I'm in New York, USA. I could understand being a few streets/cities off target, but a different continent?

I already disabled my WiFi and tried it again, and it's still coming up as Poland. Anyone know what might be going on?

That's strange. is it a refurb? If so, maybe it was from Poland.

Are you sure you're not in Poland?

Definitely not a refurb. Purchased for $199 at the AT&T store here in New York.
The thing is, the Maps GPS worked fine previously. Only today when I tried it again did I see that it was locating me in Poland.

I think you're going to have to move to Poland. Sorry.

hahaha.

Is there an apple store nearby? Do you have a different SIM card to try switching it out to see if that fixes the problem? If none of the above are viable options, try restoring the phone.

Have you tried restoring the iPhone? Plug it into iTunes and then hit the restore button. That might fix it.

I think it is possible that it might be messing the lat and long coordinates up by switching them.

The iPhone wants some Polish sausages?

Is there a way to reset the Google Map (e.g. cache)?

Polish joke #4

Are you sure it's not being sarcastic about the number of Polish immigrants? They do that sometimes.
