I jailbroke my iphone 4 (iOS 5.1) using redsnow and now it won’t reboot. I know I have to use redsnow to reboot it and i did that the first time and it worked fine, but now when i try to reboot it, everything that has to do with the computer works fine, but then it gets stuck at the pineapple logo for a while (around 10 min). Eventually, my phone vibrates twice and the apple logo comes up and then it acts like i didn’t boot it using redsnow.

Are you getting it into DFU mode first
You must boot tethered with Redsn0w every time

you do know 5.1 is a tethered jailbreak and you must use redsn0w/extras/just boot in order to boot the device every time you power or reboot the device.

The easiest option if you have a either a recent iTunes or iCloud backup would be to put it in DFU mode and then restore it in iTunes and start fresh. And rejailbreak it.

I recommend this if you have a recent backup and won't lose any important information, if you don't have a backup tell me and I'll try and give you somemore complicated fixes.

Yes, I am using redsn0w every time, and no I don't have a recent backup. I did try reinstalling redsn0w and I also tried manually selecting my ispw.

Well my phone just got stuck in recovery modes (as in resn0w wouldn't detect it) so I am restoring it anyway. Thanks for the help though.

My advice..if you can...downgrade using SHSH blobs if you have them, as this continue to persist or restore it back to it's original state. Funnily enough, my iPhone 3GS is a tethered jailbreak however, I can turn it on and off without redsn0w, however my Cydia apps/tweaks/packages will not work.
