iPod touch Help! My iPod touch 4th Gen is dead.

I'm not sure what's happened. I thought that the battery was dead at first so plugged it into my Mac, but nothing happened. I've tried holding down the power and home buttons together and on their own but there is no response. My iPad is charging happily through the same cable and USB. Any ideas?

Have you tried leaving it charging for a half hour? You might need it to charge for a bit before it will turn on. Also is it jailbroken? That could cause problems. If all else fails, take it to an apple store (unless it is jailbroken)

Try plugging it into a wall outlet for an hour and see if that charges it and turns it on.
