iPod touch help ! (my ipod won't turn on or charge)

my ipod won't turn on or charge and when i try to charge it starts turning hot and does not charge at all.

Time for a repair or a new iPod.

try holding down the home button and the button on top of the ipod for five seconds if this doesnt work go to the apple store and have them look at it!

Try holding the home and top button for 10 seconds, and your apple logo should pop up. If that won't work, have apple look at it. Also, is your iPod jailbroken?
