A software update install went wrong, which I think may have contributed to the problem... but basically my color display is completely messed up for my whole screen. For example, when I go into Spaces, instead of blue rectangles I see blue, red, and green swatches. Everything is also very pixelated. I know that the problem must be software, not hardware related, because the first two times I used Expose to reveal my desktop, the correct color combination showed for my desktop picture.

I also apologize for the word "wacky", but it is a surprisingly accurate description of what I'm seeing as I type on this screen.

I'm baffled. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks!

It's possible it *is* a hardware problem. Do you have a MBP with an nVidia 8600 GT GPU? If so, it might be failing.
