Has this happened to anyone, do you have a resolution.

My computer has been making a "hard drive seeking" noise since yesterday. It started out of the blue. When I closed the lid to put it to sleep, every 2 min (or 90 sec) it makes the same "hard drive waking up noise" that it does when you awake from sleep. This continued for about 1 hour. I used it again, and then was ready to retire for the evening. The noise continued. It was bothering me as i tried to sleep so I shut off my computer (instead of leaving it sleeping) like usual. It seems like my computer isn't falling asleep all the way or something. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the tip, I'll see what happens when i turn it back on this evening, and try your suggestion.

Hard Drive Sound

Hey how loud is your HD? Mine makes a constant noise, not the chirping but more like spinning... I looked in the casing and it's a little loose in there... what do you think? How is yours?
