Help, my notes are not syncing between iphone and rMBP

I'd really appreciate some help, please.

The notes on my new iphone 6s plus are not syncing with my 2014 rMBP. I have tried signing out of icloud on both devices, turning notes off on both devices (in icloud settings), but nothing is working!

Are you taking notes in the iCloud section of the app?

Yes, I am. The main screen on notes doesn't look like that after updating to ios 9.

But anyway, I am taking notes in the icloud section. Thanks

Notes was updated with iOS9. There as a warning about updating your notes. It will sync with your rMBP when you upgrade to El Capitan.

I have a new 6s and have upgraded to El Capitan, and am seeing the same problem. Notes not sync'ing.
