Help, my screen is jacked up

Well I went in to my Physics class today to see if my MBP would work with her projector. I hooked the two up together and it worked- my MBP screen was on the projector. I unplugged, shut down, and took my MBP home. I just turned it on and now the screen is jacked up. There are 2 thick black bars on both sides of my screen, and everything is oversized and fuzzy. Help please.

Did you check the screen resolution under the Display Preference Pane?

17" Hi-Def 1920x1200

The default should be the highest number on the list. But if not, the correct res is above.
It sounds exactly like your computer is just displaying the wrong resolution, which is a setting, so in other words, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your screen.

Thanks guys. The resolution it was on was the lowest one so I could barely find the resolutions lol. You are correct, it was the highest one. Thanks again.
