I am running word:mac v.x on my ibook G4 with Mac OS X 10.4.8.
I have since 10.4.6, noticed that on occasion my Word program will shut down, especially if I have more than one document open at a time. I really need Word to cooperate with me since I am in the process of writing a thesis for grad school. I would prefer to not have to spend $150 for new Office software. Does anyone have any suggestions for what might be causing the problem (I suspect since Word:Mac v.x is no longer supported, there is a conflict with it and the newer Mac OSX), and how I might fix it?
Thanks for comments and suggestion.

Actually, Office v.X including Word v.X is supported. Download and apply the latest updates. If you have problems applying the updates, reinstall Office v.X from the distribution CD and then download and apply all available updates.

thanks!
um, yeah I guess I was behind on my updates through mactopia, I hope this works
