Probably the craziest thing I've ever posted.

I have a reoccurring nightmare based on an old scfi movie I saw probably around 1985-1991, the only thing I remember about this movie is that there is an android or nearly human looking android in a weird helmet who was running down another android of the same design because the evil droid killed someone. I only rember a short scene where a women is crying because her husband or boyfriend was killed and she's crying trying to reprogram the good android using a panel on the back of this guys body or in the back of his head...

Someone please help me so I can stop having freaky nightmares about renegade androids. :(

This really makes it sound like Star Trek. No idea which series; whichever has the female doctor in it who has a thing for Picard (Generations?). Guy with the helmet is the one with the high-tech glasses? That's my best guess.

Actually, this is exactly what I think it might have been; the 'crying woman' who attempts to reprogram the android might be the widow of Dr Nooian Sung, (the creator of each of the androids, all three roles were played by Brent Spiner); the evil android, would have been Lore, Data's 'brother'; while, of course, Data himself is the good guy.

Could it be the episode were Data hijacks the Enterprise to get his emotion chip installed?
