Hi

I've accidentally trashed my backups.backupdb file from my external hdd. By the time I'd realized what I'd done, it was to late to simply cmd Z. I tried to move the file back to its original location but after 6 hours of 'preparing to copy file' I was told there was not enough space on the external hdd because the file I wanted to copy was 6.4 TB! The external hdd is only 500gb.

Is there anyway to restore the trashed file to its original location? obviously I can't use TM as the backups.backupdb folder thats now in the external hdd is empty.

Hope you can help!

Cheers

just right click on the folder in the trash and hit restore, the trash can don't actually hold the entire folder it only keeps a blueprint of it, when you empty the trash the corresponding folder or files are deleted from where they originally were ;)
