Guys, please see the attached screen shot of my storage for documents.

The total shows 25.73, but when I calculate the individual totals, they only total approximately 3gb and not 25.73 as is shown. Why could this be?

Also, why are these items showing in storage under documents. Most of these items, if not all of them should be under Movies or Music. My actual documents folder in Finder only has Word documents.

If I delete these items from the Storage section, will they be removed from their original locations too?

I'm ao confused!
 
You haven't posted a screenshot, but Apple Storage numbers are a bit flaky, and I wouldn't do anything based on the coloured bar (if that is what you are looking at) if everything appears to be the right place in Finder.

Thanks Mike. I've attached now. Memory like a sieve these days! I'm just concerned that the total GB figure in the bar is so grossly out with what' showing. You know what it's like when you have a new Mac and you want everything perfect. Mine unfortunately has been a pain from the beginning 😥
