Help - Need Safari or Firefox to Appear to Server as IE 6.0 or 7.0

Web based aps for work do not recognize Safari or Firefox for Mac. Is there a way to make them appear to the web based app like IE 6 or 7?

I'd like to work with these apps without opening a parallels or VMware window.

In Safari go to Develop > User Agent > Browser of your choice.
