Hi, I just bought a Razer Naga mouse for use with my macbook. When I plugged it in the New Keyboard setup popped up (it has 12 buttons that act as a num pad) i went into it a bit, and then quit the setup. I then installed the mouse driver from their website. All the buttons work except...the actual mouse won't track, and the cursor on screen will not move. Now no matter what I do I cannot get the cursor to move as it originally did when I first plugged it in! I need to make the system scan it as a new device again or something...I plugged it into my mac mini, the new unknown device window popped up like it did on my macbook, but instead of doing anything or installing drivers, I simply dismissed the window and the mouse worked like a charm! How can I revert the mouse back to this working state?
EDIT: Plugged it into my mac mini...apparently random, how it works. it won't track on the mac mini either, i leave it for 5 minutes and it works! unplug it, try it again 5, 10, 15 minutes without touching it and it still won't work. unplug and replug and it works right off the bat. wtf is happening here?
DOUBLE EDIT: Apparently spamming left click and right click very rapidly, as well as the 5 key, will make the mouse track. Why is this? It does work, but i wouldnt want to have to go thru this annoying ritual every time i log on to my mac. anyone offer an explanation?
ANOTHER: It WILL NOT track on my black Rocketfish mousepad, but it will track on any wood surface. now i am really confused....in fact it will track on ANYTHING BUT the mousepad...
