So I am trying to update to 4.3.1, however I am running into error 1638. I googled and it seems that I need to comment out the correct part of the file. I can do that just fine, but it doesn't seem to be saving. Control O doesn't seem to be working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I've just fixed a similar problem to this, except my iTunes error code was the common "1013." Your situation seems really similar, though. I'm not sure of what machine you're running, though. I corrected mine on Win7 32bit....
 
My problem is not the error, I know how to fix it. My problem is that it won't save after I have edited the host file.
 
Are you doing it the way that link tells you to? That is the "sudo" way.

If you are using the copy/paste on desktop way, that didn't work for me.

I had to use the terminal. and comment out the line.

Yes, i am doing it the way the link says. Just to make sure, I do control o correct?
