So... I am trying to help out a friend with a really basic task: get music from their computer to their iPhone. However, iTunes is not available as a download for Windows (the button is there but it doesn't work on itunes.apple.com) It was announced earlier today that iTunes is being replaced.

So, my question is, what is someone in this situation supposed to do in the gap?

According to Ars Technica, users of iTunes for Windows won't see any change:

Today is Day 1 of Apple's WWDC, so it's not a good day to download anything from Apple. However, I just tried a download of iTunes for Windows, and it seems to be downloading fine right now.

Here's the page where I clicked the "Download now (64-bit)" button that's below the "iTunes for Windows" graphic:
https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Here's the URL that goes with the button-click:
https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64

The download is named "iTunes64Setup.exe". I stopped it before it finished, because I don't need a Windows executable on my Mac.
